Baked Tofu

I was firstly introduced to Tofu during my life in France through my Plant Based cooking course. Tofu it’s a great alternative to meat and it tastes amazingly great! Love it!! My favourite way of cooking it, is the baked version.

To make the perfect Baked Tofu, you have to make sure that you season it very well. Leave it to rest for at least 1 hour. 

Variations: 1. Cut the Baked Tofu into cubes and marinate it with tomato sauce, so you can use it as “meatball” in a pasta plate. Drizzle some nutritional yeast on the top and you have a perfectly balance plate. 

                   2. Cut the baked Tofu into slices and make a sandwich with lettuce, homemade mayo and avocado slices.

                   3. Bake red and green peppers. Use wooden skewers and place alternate red pepper – tofu – green pepper – red pepper – tofu – green pepper.



1 packet of Tofu
1/3 cup tamari or soya sauce
4 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp black pepper


Cut the Tofu into slices.Mix the tamari, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper well.
Place the tofu slices in a bowl and cover with the sauce. Rest for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven into 180 degrees.
Place the slices into a pan and cover with the remaining sauce. Bake until golden from both sides.
Serve with a green salad.
