How to make french toast without milk

This Dairy-Free French Toast is one of the easiest and quickest desserts to make! Its dairy-free, sugar-free, and egg-free! Top with maple or agave syrup and fruit of your choice, for a great breakfast! Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ cup flour
  • 5 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 2 bananas mashed
  • 1 cup strawberries mashed
  • 6 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ tablespoon salt

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients.

For the Toast

  • Mash the bananas.
  • Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl – flour, cinnamon, salt.
  • Add the mashed banana in the dry mix and mix.
  • Heat a nonstick pan in medium heat. Make sure the butter is melted and heated.Add the butter.
  • Dip each slice of toast into the liquid mixture until both sides are evenly coated (about 1 – 2 seconds per side).

For the Sauce

  • Mash the strawberries with a fork, add agave syrup or brown sugar. Mix together.

For the Assembly

  • Place a slice of bread in a serving plate, add the sauce, then add the next slice, sauce until you finish all slices.
  • Drizzle a little bit of agave syrup on the top and serve with fruits.

Notes

  • oil frying pan really well,
  • use a nonstick pan
  • allow the french toast to get crispy, normally it takes 4-5 minutes each side.
