This is the only Guide you will need for perfect and nutritional densed Sugar-Free Smoothies!
What is a smoothie
A smoothie is basically a sizzling beverage (think as milk silk) based on fruit and sometimes some vegetables. It is made in the blender in no time and it is besides that, super delicious and extremely nutritious! In other words, the perfect choice to start your day!
For detoxification, wellness, nutrition, taste or refreshing, a smoothie is popular and high in our demand, since it contains nutrients, and more than one juice, while not lagging in taste! With fruits, vegetables, or both, we honor it properly, and we do it almost on a daily basis, choosing different ingredients at a time. To make the best smoothie, follow a few tips and of course the recipes that we recommend.
What you need for the Perfect Sugar-Free Smoothies
1. Blender
Making a good smoothie requires that we have the right equipment, i.e the blender. It is not enough to just mix the ingredients in a shaker. To create a proper smoothie, we need to mash the ingredients and then hit them in the blender to homogenize them properly and well. For a bundled mixture, what we need to do is put the blender first at low speed and then gradually increase its speed. In this way, our smoothie will have a perfectly uniform and creamy texture.
2. The main ingredients
- Fruits or Vegetables
- Milk or yogurt or water, which owes much to its creamy texture. We, therefore, choose one of these two materials according to our preferences.
- Spices
- Nuts
3. Proportion
The smoothie is based on improvisation in terms of materials and not the right amount to use. For 1 glass, the ideal ratio is 2 cups of milk of our choice or yogurt and a ¾ cup of fruit or vegetables. If we combine fruits and vegetables, we equate their quantity.
4. Smoothie With fruits
What are the right fruits and vegetables for the perfect smoothie? Banana is ideal because it gives the smoothie a creamy and creamy texture. Other fruits with which we can make smoothies are apricots, peaches, pineapples, blackberries, mango, plums, nectarines, strawberries, apples, pears, and melon.
5. Smoothies With vegetables
To make the so-called green smoothie, we have two choices: adding some vegetables to the smoothie with fruit or making a smoothie exclusively with vegetables. In both cases, the most ideal vegetables are spinach, kale, cucumber, lettuce, radish and beetroot
6. Extra flavor
Various herbs, spices, and herbs can give an extra flavor to our smoothie and of course, make it even more fragrant. In a smoothie with fruit, we can add cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, peppermint, basil, cloves, anise, and coriander. In a green smoothie, the basil, ginger, coriander, bismuth, dill, parsley, chives, marjoram, tarragon, and thyme are amazing. The amount of the above materials depends on our preferences, without of course exaggerating at the risk of overcoming the taste of other materials. For a sweeter taste, agave syrup or stevia.
7. Better texture
Many times, our smoothie is quite watery. For a richer texture, we can add a little yogurt, avocado, coconut oil or oats. Of course, in order for our smoothie fruit to have the perfect texture, the secret is to use and frozen fruits. The ratio is ⅔ frozen fruits and ⅓ fresh.
How to Make Perfect Sugar-free Smoothies
Step 1:
- Choose leafy green. (Spinach, kale or lettuce).
- Pick the liquid. Almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, water or coconut water. If you use milk you will get a "milkshake consistency"
- Pick fruit to balance out the flavor of the green smoothie. My favorites are banana, apples or mango. You can also use kiwi, pineapple, avocado for greener color. I prefer to choose my fruits to get a thicker consistency.
- Pick your spices. Like ginger, chia seeds or other seeds you may like.
- Pick your nuts. I love almonds or walnuts.
- If you prefer your Green smoothie sweeter chose a sweetener like an agave syrup.
Step 2: Put it all in a blender.
Step 3: Blend all very well until you get a nice consistency.
What you can use instead of Sugar in Sugar-Free Smoothies?
- Green Stevia. It comes from the stevia leaf and is 30 times sweeter than sugar. Many consider this the most concentrated sweetener by volume. It has a slightly green or white powder, depending on the treatment. It has a special flavor that some people find unpleasant. Glycemic Index: 0
- Dates syrup. Just blend well a few dates with little water. Here you are! You have a perfect dates syrup.
- Agave Syrup. It comes from the same juicy plant from which we get tequila. Oh yes!! It is a sweet, viscous but delicate syrup. It has a light color, which can be darker. The darkest, the rawest, the better. The light agave is mild in flavor, while the dark has a stronger flavor. Its sweetness level is high. Glycemic Index: 11-19

SHOULD I ADD ICE?
Adding ice can boost the taste of your smoothie as it gives that thicker, but the cool and refreshing texture.
Are Green smoothies taste like veggies?
When working with bitter greens, use only the most flavorful, sweet fruit. ... Use both pineapple and banana together with dandelion greens for a super nutritious green smoothie that you will actually want to drink. Berries are also a great way to mask bitter greens.
What's the difference between a Smoothie and a Juice?
These two beverages are two different blends. Specifically, in natural fruit juice, fruits are squeezed and the liquid portion of the fruit is ready for consumption. Instead, smoothie uses fruit and/or vegetable. Protein, such as yogurt or milk, is often added. In some cases, a sweetener is added.
How bad is sugar?
Just like alcohol and tobacco, sugar is actually a drug. As a result, sugar consumption is, in fact, an addiction pattern. It is equally difficult to get rid of the urge to sweeten, as with smoking. So diets work only temporarily. In addition, it is very harmful to health as it causes disorders in cell function, increases the level of platelets and causes hyperactivity syndrome and lack of attention to children. In addition, is responsible for obesity. (Source Ιatropedia).
