This recipe is an alternative version of the original Hummus made with Beans and red peppers!

The authentic Hummus in Arab Countries has a creamy / garlic taste and you will find it everywhere. They normally serve with whole cooked chickpeas and a splash of lemon. Nowadays, outside Arabic countries, lots of restaurants make an original version of Hummus.

How to make White bean hummus recipe - Step by Step
For the Beans:
Cover the beans with water a night before.
The next day, drain them and wash them well. Cook the beans in fresh water for 1 hour over low heat. (Add salt to the last 45 minutes of cooking)
For the Hummus:
Gather all the ingredients including cooked beans (Photo 1 and 2)

Put the beans in a blender with garlic, red peppers and spices. Add a little bit of beans broth and blend until you get a creamy consistency. (Photo 3)
If the mixture is too thick, add a little bit more broth.
Serve, sprinkle a little of red pepper and enjoy! (Photo 4)

TIPS FOR THE BEST HUMMUS RECIPE
- You can use canned beans or cook your own for your Hummus preparation. The best taste will be with the cooked ones.
- The type of blender will determine the texture of the final dish. A good blender will give a creamy texture.
- If you prefer a more garlic taste add more garlic.
- Do not throw away the liquid from the cooked beans. You will use it as a broth.

Ingredients
- 2.5 cups beans cooked or canned
- broth of the cooked beans
- 1 lemon
- 2 large cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoon salt (half to cook the chickpeas and half during blending)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper powder or chilly flakes
- ½ cup red pepper sliced
Instructions
